The Challenge
The City of Newark identified a critical need to upgrade its security infrastructure across seven municipal facilities. Four of these sites previously had no access control or video surveillance systems in place, posing a significant risk to public safety and operations. In addition, the city sought to expand its Genetec platform to achieve standardized, citywide visibility and control over its security ecosystem. 

The Solution
EyeP Solutions, Inc. was selected to lead this initiative based on their extensive experience with municipal security deployments and certified Genetec expertise. In close collaboration with the City’s IT and Police departments, EyeP Solutions:

• Engineered and implemented new access control and video surveillance systems for four previously unsecured facilities 

• Integrated and expanded the City’s existing Genetec platform to support centralized monitoring and management 

• Delivered a future-ready solution built for scalability, operational efficiency, and interdepartmental collaboration 

Timeline
The project was scheduled for completion within 100 business days, with contingency days allotted for potential change orders. The deployment is currently progressing on schedule, with all major milestones being met.
